The Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) is the simplest and most widely deployed flow battery. It offers attractive benefits over alternative energy storage configurations and battery chemistries for daily, long duration energy storage applications.

Some VRFB Core Features

No Degradation

The performance of the system remains constant throughout its life with minimal maintenance.

Low Energy Cost

Over its 20+ year lifespan, VRFB technology offers the lowest cost per kWh stored (LCOE).

The working fluid of the battery is water based and as such is totally non flammable.

The vanadium chemistry of the battery is fully reusable and recyclable at the end of project life.

Long Life

With annual maintenance of filters and pumps, the system can easily last more than 20 years.
